Driving from Sanya: why Hainan is the right China road trip

Sanya beaches, Yalong Bay and Haitang Bay

Lingshui and Wanning are useful alternatives when Sanya feels too resort-focused. They offer beaches, surf areas and smaller coastal bases along the east side of Hainan.
